Description

GoldPlanar uses all of its years of knowledge and experience to design proprietary in-house planar magnetic diaphragm drivers that exceed the performance values of modern day standards. GoldPlanar drivers are used by other manufacturers of top-end headphones, and are often regarded as the best in class. Given all of the conditions, GoldPlanar has gone beyond to create their own HiFi world. Here, you can expect a thick and powerful bassline, rich mids, and airy and transparent trebles of this GL2000 headphone..

Why GoldPlanar

The core team at GoldPlanar began designing and building quality audiophile headphones in 2010 as a major manufacturer for some of the most reputable brands in the industry. In 2017, GoldPlanar was officially established as its own purveyor of boutique Hi-Fi headphones, with the goal of creating the highest line of reference headphones. GoldPlanar is proud to now be designing its own headphones under its name that boast their expertise and talents

New Flagship Planar Magnetic Headphone.

GL2000 is the newly launched flagship headphone, which adopts Planar Magnetic Diaphragm Driver. It is designed as a reference tuning headphone, utilizing full frequency adjustment and open back style. The internal driver design was modified from the standard drivers other manufacturers use, with the internal plate having been restructured to increase the surface area and airflow. This enhancement, along with the upgrade in magnet strength, makes the headphone even more responsive

Durable and Classic Design

The headphone is constructed of durable yet lightweight aerospace-grade aluminium and leather headband/ear cushions. We wanted our listeners to enjoy long listening-sessions, hence focused on a lightweight and flexible frame that would also endure the test of time. You will find the fit to be extremely comfortable, an added compliment to the extraordinary sound of the GL2000

Detachable 6N OCC Silver-plated Cable

The GL2000 comes with a 2 meters long 6N OCC silver-plated cable. As one of the materials with the best properties for electrical transmission, the full silver-plated cable will provide an unhindered Hi-Fi listening experience, specially enhancing the smoothness of the sound and warmth.

Innovative Design

As a reference headphone, we focused on providing a natural and realistic sound that is also comfortable and enjoyable. An open-back design was selected to create a translucent atmosphere and accurate stereo imaging. The internal cavity design was also machined to maximize airflow and focus the sound. .

different opinions

these headphones have been made of different and very different opinions, many people love them and many others do not, in my opinion they are good headphones, well built, well packaged, with good presentation and design and most importantly good sound, change enough depending on the equipment with which you move them, in my personal experience helped enough a pre amplifier with bulbs, but like everything in audio is my subjective and should not be taken as a fact, In general terms they are good headphones, I consider them a little expensive since the similar line of hifi man is frequently compared with these headphones and for prices a little more moderate, my only complaint would be the headband, it is a very smooth headband and when you lie down or bend down it slips and can fall, helped that the headphones are heavy it becomes something notorious, in short.
They seem to me to be good headphones, very robust, surely durable and of excellent construction and very refined audio, although of course there are better ones.

Better than Hifiman ANANDA

I just got the GL2000s from LINSOUL and these are my thoughts:

The acoustic instruments sound the way they should sound in reality, there are details in the music that I've never heard before, and the layering is fantastic. Violins are like violins, so are tambourines, I feel like a wooden flute must really sound. Just listen to these headphones to understand what I mean. The instruments are positioned there in a large space scene with a completely black background. The bass is firm, precise, without becoming artificial, and this still fits perfectly with my 5watt tube amp and there is still power available. The Ananda are a classy headphones, but difficult to drive, and they retain the taste of the manufacturer, his firm signature. This is the third Hifiman headset I buy and none of them have completely satisfied me. They are airy but less precise in reconstructing the scene, which for me is more vague. The Ananda have a flaw, in my opinion, they are shy, slow, and the medium-high too advanced, on the whole they are boring. It is more an interpretation than a perfect translation of the message. I was doubtful whether to buy the GL2000 as the GL600 had not received a very good review. But the GL2000s are worth a lot more than the money spent and their mid and high range are smooth and fluid, they just make me enjoy the music. I honestly don't understand why some reviewers have flunked these headphones. If someone asked me: would you still buy a Hifiman headphones? my answer would be: no !..
They sound fantastic and should be a reference for how they have been tuned. They are definitely a threat to the podium of hi-end headphones listening.

My daily drivers

I own a lot of headphones in different price regions. One of my top headphones is the Hifiman HE-1000 V2. The HEK is a superb one but it is like a firework. Sometimes it is just to much of it so that I would say I can't take it all the time. This is very special with the GL2000. After a long burn-in period it becomes so harmonic and dynamic. In combination with the D-pads and my Monolith Liquid Platinum or my Cavalli Tube Hybrid it is that much fun to hear active or passive at work. I would recommend this headphone to anyone. But beware of the burn-in period - like most of planar headphones - before it sounds odd.

Maybe I was expecting too much

I don't know why this headphone got hyped so much. To be fair it sounds fine, but nothing worth over $200. Soundstage wasn't really there, and neither was there real sub bass. The drop thx pandas win over these easily in terms of overall planar magnetic headphones and if you're going to be tethered to an amp I prefer the hd560s over these. This is a 3 star headphone losing a star for their expensive price

Good pair of cans!!

When used out of the box the sound signature isnt 5 stars. However after aplying a small EQ i was able to unlock the endgame with these headsets.

Great value

So far, I’m enjoying the GL2000s. Love the soundstage and range. A little dismayed with the occasional crackle. Also, you need a powerful amp to properly drive and get some bass from these headphones.
