Overall it sounds great especially for the price.
My gripes: the bass is lean and the treble is a touch sharp for my tastes
I had several iems. Chu are my favourite, I always smile listening to them, they do all week dynamics are ok voices are comunicative bass is enough, just listen to the inner soul of the music at a ridiculous price. I don't find them fatiguing in the highs at all the sound is warm with the correct energy in the highs as in the real life, I'm a musician. The little metallicity you can feel at the beginning disappeared with the burn in. I used with different tips, narrower bore, to increase bass, and the cable noise is a problem only if you run with them, but better then etymotic.but for this problem they give you removable plastic arch to fix the cable over your ears. I'm curious about 7hz SALNOTEs zero now but Chu is a must have for me.
Yes... I have 2 pairs. No issues listening for 4 hrs straight. Thanks Linsoul and X Hbb for this Gem.
Very nice sounding...difficult, if not virtually
Impossible to stay in ears.....
I use p1max with phone and no dynamics came out, than with a dongle, little better, than with fiio k18 Kunlun still better(1700mwatt!), so they aren't for mobility. I didn't feel emotions listening to them, though they have a lot more resolution on highs than the 1dd iems. I prefer Moondrop Chu and kzsound heart mirror!
Excelent detailed sound.
Warm sound signature and very good trebble.
For the price, these offer some great performance. The planar speed is nice and the timbre is good. These are tuned pretty well, but are somewhat bright (even after changing the filters). Definitely neutral though and bass isn't absent either. I'm just not a big fan of Crinacle tuning and prefer a little more bass (you can add some with EQ). These aren't bad though, they aren't sibilant or anything like that.
They are attractive looking and have a nice case. I can fit my FiiO BTR5 in the case with them. The extra silicone tips it comes with are basically useless though. The stock ones it has are adequate.
I got an upgraded cable, but it doesn't really need one. The upgrade cable does give you more connection options though (the balanced output on the BTR5 for example). The snap on nature of that is ok, I haven't ran into any issues of it disconnecting. You have to give it a good firm push to click in (not an audible click) so I can see why everyone dislikes it. I have to agree, if you weren't sitting still, you might pull it apart.
The weight is a little heavy, but not bad at all. They look nice too.
Overall this is a great value. I can't think of any other IEM at this price point that would be as good. These are what I put in my bag to travel if I can't bring full size headphones. Perfect for the airplane.
