V-shaped, too V-Shaped

Take the intense V-shaped sound and crank it up to 11. That's either why you'd want this or pass.

I bit the bullet, and boy, they're crazy shouty. The only thing you'll hear is the singer screaming at you and bass. Mids? Gone. Highs? Overshadowed.

The only reason why they're even getting a 3/5 is because this lop-sided FR can really shine in very specific genres. That and they have a decent resolution (for whatever that's left of the FR). They're fine on pop, but a traditional V-shaped IEM could do better.

However, on vocal metal, they're a great match. The overbearing pinna gain really brings out the synthesized vocals from the mix, and the boosted bass is kinda self-explanatory. The decent resolution also helps with instrument separation in an otherwise busy track.

That's it. They're too niche for 90% of genres (that isn't pop for obvious reasons). Weird, since the only thing it got wrong is the pinna gain. The new Tape Pro tries to fix this, but they're still not perfect.

Excellent sound!

If fitted well, they sound amazing. In a quite room even better. Great built quality too

Stellar!!!💥

Surprised by sound quality, great bass, good sub-bass both are tuned to each other very nicely neither trying to outdo the other. Mids come out nicely with lots of detail, crisp/clean, vocals are right on for me(not shouty), not in my face nor far back, just perfect. Treble is also nice, no peakiness or harshness, and to my surprise it seemed rolled off just a tad bit, not complaining I like it like this, and was a bit shocked. Needed more power than what my Samsung S9+ could deliver, another shock(still sounded good). Played awesome on PC using a FiiO K3(Dac/Amp 4 o’clock position). Only complaints, couldn’t open the green metal case(arthritis lol) and one MMCX connector didn't make a click but works, but had a K-bear silver 16 core cable and used foam tips. Some music I tried with “Strangers” Sigrid“/The Race” Yello/“Teardrop” cover by Aurora/“Sweet Dreams” Nightcore/”Thunderstruck” AC/DC/”Royals” Lorde. Listened to many more, thoroughly enjoyed!

Stopped working after a month- stay away

The Shouer Tapes sound fantastic- all the reviews about the sound are true.

However, given the number of reported malfunctions, it appears that there is obviously an inherent flaw with these headphones or with Shouer quality control. Mine too suddenly stopped working properly after a month. Given Linsoul's return/replacement policy, it was an extremely risky proposition to spend 129 dollars on these duds to begin with.

If you want to send them back, it will set you back a significant amount of money, as we in Europe don't have access to the cheap and slow shipping used to send these to us.

Honestly, if you are considering these, then know that there is a good chance that you will have to send them back, and perhaps keep sending them back. If you have the money to drop 129 dollars, plus 35 for return shipping for repairs each time these fail, then you've got money to buy something of less dubious quality.

The best

The first one i ordered had a broken driver but the customer service replaced it without any problems and now i do have a working set and im really happy with it.

Sound is absolutely amazing. It is so detailed and accurate that it can handle heavy orchestral music without it sounding muddy or unclear. Bass has seamingly no end and it extends all the way down. Buildquality is also great (in case you dont get a broken unit of course). By far my favourite iem that i have ever owned or tried. I have tried the much more expensive shure s846 and the campfire andromeda before (both cost about 10x as much as the tape) and i think the tape is better than the s846 and about as good as the andromeda.

Excellent

After I paired them with average blaanced cable and ibasso dx160, they changed into very good resolution and enjoyful at all frequencies, especially for the songs with complicated passages of bass and guitar together as in some progressive rock bands. I haven´t heard anything with this sound quality untill the 500 € level, even including some more expensive ones. If you are lucky enough to get one without those problems as some people had, it´s kind of a quit for lodging in the very best headphone and just enjoying the music !!!

Amazing sound Amazingly bad QC

When these buds work its actually phenomenal the detail is so crispy and the bass can shake your head the highs can be a bit shrill at times but that's if you really crank up the volume to uncomfortable levels, for normal listening the treble is just great. the mids are a little recessed and in busy tracks you'll definitely find them lacking but they're definitely not bad. the bass is definitely the best part of these iems its clear and quick and punchy and has good tone. the bad part of these its definitely the tips they need replacing, the cable is adequate and the carry case is useless but i dont really use cases so....
Ive had 3 pairs of these iems and they have all failed in some way shape or form, I have received a refund or replacement every time (make sure you buy on amazon or a similar etailer) but that doesn't make up for the fact that i'm 3 for 3 in defective sets now i could just be incredibly unlucky but i highly doubt that. If shouer ever sorts out their QC for this set of iem they are the best iem for their price hands down.

Updates right iem gone.

As much as I think the sound is very good when the seal is good, the QC is very bad.

1) even their own tips keep coming out of the nozzle.

2) critical failure, right iem now is about half the volume of the left. Seems many owners have similar issues.

Buying this is like gambling. Buy at your own risk.

Don't buy this

Left side died after 3 hours of use. Linsoul want's me to send it back. The cost of that would be more then the value of these IEMs. Or i can settle with a 15$ refund. Great deal!
