The Next Generation of Mangird Tea

The original Mangird Tea and Mangird Tea MKII made global headlines due to their excellent performance-to-price ratios, establishing XENNS as a renown IEM brand. The Mangird Tea Pro takes the next step with updated driver technologies and a refined tuning strategy based on customers’ feedback.

Updated Drivers for Higher Performance

The Mangird Tea Pro features a brand new imported Dual Dynamic Driver system, which has been custom made for XENNS. Improving on the previous generation of dynamic drivers, the new dual 8mm bio-composite diaphragm driver has been reinforced for tighter membrane structure and greater surface tension, resulting in a more responsive diaphragm motion. With faster and stronger driver performance at lower distortion levels, the sub-bass impact is significantly stronger and cleaner than the previous generation of dynamic drivers.

Updated Balanced Armature Drivers

The Mangird Tea Pro has been updated with two genuine Knowles RAD 33518, two RAF 32873, and a single RDB 34834 composite drivers. The update to the latest generation of balanced armature drivers significantly improves both the tuning as well as natural timbre and texture to the sound.

Refined Tuning Strategy for 2024

The Mangird Tea Pro was designed around customer feedback from our previous two generations of Mangird Tea’s. The sub-bass impact has been enhanced, gaining an additional 3dB at 20Hz, as well as better textural qualities. Along with better sub-bass performance, the fundamental bass frequencies have been retuned to provide better emphasis to guitar bass notes, as well as more body and presence to vocals and instrument. Listeners will appreciate much more fullness in the overall sound, while still maintaining tonal balance. The treble has also been re-engineered, with more clarity and definition. With more enunciation at the core pinna frequencies, vocals will now be clearer and have better ‘bite’ to their sounds. Furthermore, the upper treble has been tuned to be more natural, with a shallower decay curvature to bring out micro-details while sounding pleasant.

Hand Crafted Quality and Beauty

Each Mangird Tea Pro unit is handcrafted for care and quality assurance. The shells are precision made with medical-grade UV resin, the drivers wired together by hand, and the whole unit is finally assembled by hand. Every unit is checked and hand-paired to ensure complete stereo balance to the sound.

XENNS Custom Cable

The Mangird Tea Pro comes with a custom hand-made Hi-Fi audio cable. The cables feature 0.78mm 2-pin connector systems, which can be swapped out for other cables and IEMs to provide complete customizability. The cable terminates with optional 4.4mm balanced or 3.5mm single-ended plugs.

Truly a masterpiece

At first when you put them in your ears they appear really big but after a while you get really use to it to the point where it becomes comfy. The sound signature is fantastic! Im able to pick and point where the enemies are coming from!

The best IEMS I’ve tried. Unironically.

I’ve struggled for many years to find an IEM that I liked, from moondrop to final to Kiwi Ears to Tin to countless other brands. Finally settled on IE300s back in 2022, and they crapped out on me 6 months later. Ever since I’ve been using a pair of IER M9s from Sony. For those who don’t know, they are a kilobuck IEM, and I haven’t been able to find anything that checked all the boxes for me quite like that. Until now.

To set some “ground rules”, the things I find important in an IEM (in order of importance) is: comfort, sound quality (tend to follow a warm neutral sound signature, think HD660s with a bit of a treble boost), build quality, and everything else comes last. The IER M9 was a good IEM for comfort, but it was just a bit too oddly shaped to be comfortable for my ears, and I couldn’t wear them for more than 4 hours. This sucked coming from sennheiser’s or series, because I could wear those all do and feel no fatigue. However, it is one of the best built and best sounding IEMs out there, but it’s just a bit too bright for my personal tastes, and being an all BA IEM, it lacked a bit on the bass. Build quality, well it was a magnesium alloy, so it was one of the best.

This IEM is more comfortable, the shape of the shell is much more comfortable for me, and more universal. The sound is just right. It’s warm, but just as detailed as anything I’ve heard before, and it’s never harsh. It’s got a bit more bass than I’m used to, but it’s not bad and it’s hard to not like it, it’s fun. The guild quality is actually even better here too. The shell is made from a zinc alloy and, while it’s hard to say factually, in the hand, it feels much more sturdy than the M9.

I know this is a comparison that nobody asked for, but it’s wild to me that a company is able to make an IEM this good that not only competes with a well established product from a well established company, but outright beats it at a solid $650 cheaper price point. Insanity. Love this IEM.

A very balance, warm, all rounded iem under $400

Pros: - Warm, all rounded tonality
- Good bass texture
- Warm, lush mids
- Smooth treble
- Good technical performace
- Very cohesive
- No BA timbre
- Well accessorized
- Durable metal shells
- Gorgeous faceplate that changes color depend on the angle
Cons: - 350$ is not a low price tag for many people
- Not enough midbass to my taste

The Mangird Tea Pro a very all rounded product from XENNS, with the overall box presentation, the included accessories AND the sound performance. I’d say if you have a $400 budget and are looking for a relatively balanced and warm sounding iem, with a bit more focus on the sub bass over mid bass, warm midrange and non fatiguing treble then the Tea Pro is a really viable candidate.

Perfect Depth/Verticality Perception (warning: check latest update)

Fantastic bass resolution, vocals are present, soundstage is wide, upper treble is not harsh (to me). Great ergonomics for someone with ears on the larger side. Using medium penon liquers (black) on it so far which I recommend pairing it with or at least trying out. Attached a picture of the nozzle between this set and the Hype 4 Tea PRO is a *little* darker to me vs the Hype 4.

Update 9/27: Using orange penon liquers, bit more spatial and hold the bass a little more and making it smoother in the slightest. Shell is also a metal alloy which feels very premium. It has been top notch in Overwatch, perfect depth perception and verticality. Also important to keep the nozzle grill clean as often as possible.

If you're someone who likes the Zero:RED with the adapter, the Tea PRO is a solid upgrade path as they are very similar in their tunings.

Final Update 10/12: Had to end up returning these for a refund as they would randomly imbalance on the left side by 7-15db that I showed to Linsoul in a video demonstration. This happened three times since getting these in (about once a week). I always stored them in the case with silica packets and cleaned the nozzle daily. I have also seen a couple similar reports of this happening on the right side as well for people. I don't want to change my score as I believe its not fair for the brand and it is a genuinely good sounding product. It doesn't seem to affect a lot of units but this does seem to be an issue that doesn't affect just me.

I've been informed the newer units of the Tea PRO have a nozzle grill that is an array of small holes throughout. My nozzle grill design was a series of diagonal patterns going across the grill (more mesh) that seems to be the original batch. Mangird might have alleviated the issue by changing the filtration system of the nozzles or it was merely a design overhaul.

Warm But Crystal Clear

The Xenns Tea Pro is an impressive set that punches above it's price point of $359. It's warm but quite resolving, akin to the Simgot EM10. But while the EM10 balances its warmth with air, the Tea Pro balances its warmth with clarity and definition. The resulting sound provides a sense of note weight, finer details, and dynamics, all at the same time. It's a unique presentation that allows certain songs to play beautifully. For my tastes and my library, I prefer the Tea Pro to the EM10. The provided accessories are also great. I chose to use the black eartips, as they provide more clarity, but the white eartips are fun if you're looking for an enveloping warmth. Overall, for $359, this is a fantastic set I would recommend to anyone shopping in the mid tier price range. Great job Xenns!
