Kiwi Ears Astral
1DD+6BA Hybrid IEM for Studio-Grade Sound
Kiwi Ears Astral combines a 10mm bioceramic dynamic driver with six balanced armature drivers to deliver an impeccably balanced audio signature. It offers a controlled sub-bass that merges smoothly into a clear midrange and refined treble, ensuring every detail is faithfully reproduced.
Professional Design and Performance: The Kiwi Ears Astral is a high-end in-ear monitor developed for music professionals and astute audiophiles. It is engineered to deliver accurate audio resolution and a balanced tonal response. The design focuses on clarity and precision, ensuring that each component works together for faithful sound reproduction.
Dynamic Driver Subwoofer: The Astral features a 10mm bioceramic diaphragm dynamic driver designed to reproduce low sub-bass frequencies. The driver produces a firm sub-bass thump that transitions smoothly into the bass range. The tuning of the bass includes a rolling cutoff at 300Hz to allow a natural flow into the midrange.
Balanced Armature Driver System: The device incorporates six balanced armature drivers, arranged as two dual midrange drivers and a dual ultra-high frequency tweeter. The custom midrange drivers are designed to provide a neutral frequency response with a specific emphasis at 2.8kHz to match natural hearing. The tweeter has been modified to achieve a smoother ultra-frequency response that integrates seamlessly with the midrange.
Tonal Signature and Tuning: The tonal profile of the Astral features a 9dB sub-bass shelf that transitions into the low-midrange with a cutoff at 300Hz. This design maintains a flat and neutral midrange, ensuring accurate sound reproduction. The treble is defined by a peak at 2.8kHz, which gradually rolls off up to 15kHz, extending the upper frequency range while avoiding harshness.
Discover the Astral: where clarity meets authenticity.
Powered by our innovative 1DD+6BA hybrid design, the Astral is built for listeners who value precision and truth in sound. Thoughtfully engineered and finely tuned, it unveils the subtleties of every track for an experience that feels refreshingly real.
Professional Audiophile In-Ear Monitor
The Astral is Kiwi Ear’s professional-grade in-ear monitor, engineered for music professionals and discerning audiophiles alike. It delivers premium audio resolution with exceptional tonal balance, ensuring an engaging listening experience without compromising accuracy or precision.
10mm Dynamic Driver Subwoofer
At the heart of the Astral is an in-house 10mm bioceramic diaphragm dynamic driver. This custom-designed driver offers an excellent low-end thump, smoothly transitioning into lush bass. With a carefully tuned bass response and a gentle roll-off at 300Hz, it seamlessly bridges the gap between the bass and midrange frequencies for a natural, dynamic performance.
6 Balanced Armature Drivers for Precision
Complementing the dynamic driver, the Astral incorporates two dual midrange balanced armature drivers alongside a dual ultra-high frequency tweeter. These in-house custom midrange drivers focus on delivering a neutral sound profile for vocals and instruments, enhanced by an accurately compensated pinna curvature at 2.8kHz. The tweeter, modified from the renowned SWFK design, extends treble response smoothly, ensuring a uniform and natural ultra-treble without any harshness.
Kiwi Ears Tonal Signature
The Astral redefines Kiwi Ears’ tonal profile with its distinctive sound signature. Featuring a powerful 9dB sub-bass shelf, it transitions gracefully into the low-midrange, with a cutoff at 300Hz that allows for a natural bass roll-off. This design preserves a flat, neutral midrange that blends perfectly with the bass. Additionally, the carefully sculpted treble peaks at 2.8kHz and rolls off uniformly until 15kHz, adding sparkle, airiness, and an expansive stage presence that elevates the overall listening experience.

Among the portable chains evaluated here, the combination of iPad Pro M1 with Black Pearl represents the most technically complete pairing. For relaxed musicality, the dd Hifi Eye3, Tanchjim Luna or NiceHCK Octave provide a more forgiving and organic presentation.
Astral proves itself to be a resolving and scalable hybrid monitor that rewards careful source matching, maintaining tonal discipline while revealing upstream differences with impressive clarity.

Kiwi Ears Astral
Amazing sound and quality
Kiwi Ears Astral
It was a gift and the recipient is very pleased with the product.
Very happy with the first impressions. These earphones deliver a spacious presentation with excellent instrument separation, and although the bass is not the most impactful, it is articulate, textured, and beautifully controlled. Swapping the stock tips for my preferred ones helped improve the bass response and overall tonal balance.
This would have been a fantastic IEM if it wasn't for the wild upper treble spike which totally ruins cymbals and any sense of natural timbre. When EQ'd out, this IEM is so close to great, so its really too bad this tuning decision was made.
Hi there,
Thank you for your feedback on our Kiwi Ears Astral product.
We apologize for any inconvenience caused by the upper treble spike. We understand that this can affect the natural timbre and ruin the listening experience. We will definitely take your comments into consideration in our future product development.
Thank you for bringing this to our attention and for your support.
Have a great day!
Kiwi Ears Astral
The only complaint I have is the ear tips is quite abrasive and unfortunately my ears are sensitive towards it. Causes skin irritation easily. Long listening session would cause my ears to weep. I had to buy another set of ear tips. Regardless that being the only drawback. The actual listening experience is 10/10 in regards to playing games imaging, soundstage, and music listening amazing.
Kiwi Ears Astral
Classical, jazz, hiphop, alt-pop, electronic. All sound great on these boys. Accessories are fine, nothing too crazy. Can recommend 👌
Arguably one of the best IEMs for detail at this price point, I do not regret my purchase whatsoever. However, the included ear tips are not the greatest and I would recommend replacing them. You could say that the included accessories are a bit lackluster (3 sizes of the S/M/L included ear tips , &replacement filters when they inevitably become gunked up). Lastly, the actual nozzle for the IEM is quite large compared to other popular brands (especially if you’re used to products like AirPods) be advised if you have narrow/small ears) they’re about 5mm wide and 3.5mm in length.
Kiwi ears astral is fucking bullshit it is terrible the sound profile is not good it is terrible for gaming it is just terrible I bought a kiwi ears belle and it is fucking better att all

Kiwi Ears Astral
I like the way it sounds spacious and sparkling. Bass is a bit much for me. but with little EQ it's great. Without EQ It sounds dark and detailed at the same time.
Kiwi Ears Astral
Excellent price to performance
Everything from the build quality to the sound quality is amazing on these IEMs. The hybrid design really does shine here and produces a full well rounded sound. Good accurate low end and amazing detail in the highs without being harsh.
The sound is well-balanced and well-tuned, with emphasis on clarity, clarity, and resolution.
I thought this iem represented valu for the money.
I'm mostly using my IEM's for gaming and coming from the Zigaat Arete's which are good for gaming, these however are amazing. So much more detail on where the enemy is in both distance and level, these IEM's really stand out. The other thing I'm using my IEM's for is music listening and this is were they are far better than the Arete's (which in all fairness are more for gaming purposes) So if you need good IEM's for both gaming and music listening, these are the ones to get. From all my Kiwi Ears IEM's that I got these have been the best experience.
