I am happy with the bluetooth part of the device but i also bought it because of its usb c dac capabilities, however it ended up disappointing me because it turns off by itself constantly (I couldn't solve this by myself, the manual and app aren't helpful) and doing some research i discovered that the usb mode only supports 16 bit 48 kHz but the advertising, information in the box and manual doesn't make it clear

No regrets after over 1 year

Before I purchased the UP4 it was head to head with the fiio BTR5. However I decided to give shanling a shot and man do I love it.

The build quality is top notch, after over one year of daily use this thing works just as well as day one. The volume nob might not be necessary but it just feels right and works great.

Connectivity is reliable and stable. The device connects quickly and never drops out while using LDAC. Same goes for any wired connection over USB-C, all Computers and Android Phones I tried worked without any trouble.

Sound wise the DAC and AMP are quite "clean" delivering a mostly uncolored sound that in my opinion is more than enough for on the go. The AMP inside was able to power any IEM I own (including Tin P1) , especially when using balanced output or "Boost Mode".

So after all the UP4 did deliver and became one of my essential tools for every day carry. Ohh and I also own the fiio BTR3 and the ES100 mk2, but the UP4 is still my go to.
