For the price, these offer some great performance. The planar speed is nice and the timbre is good. These are tuned pretty well, but are somewhat bright (even after changing the filters). Definitely neutral though and bass isn't absent either. I'm just not a big fan of Crinacle tuning and prefer a little more bass (you can add some with EQ). These aren't bad though, they aren't sibilant or anything like that.
They are attractive looking and have a nice case. I can fit my FiiO BTR5 in the case with them. The extra silicone tips it comes with are basically useless though. The stock ones it has are adequate.
I got an upgraded cable, but it doesn't really need one. The upgrade cable does give you more connection options though (the balanced output on the BTR5 for example). The snap on nature of that is ok, I haven't ran into any issues of it disconnecting. You have to give it a good firm push to click in (not an audible click) so I can see why everyone dislikes it. I have to agree, if you weren't sitting still, you might pull it apart.
The weight is a little heavy, but not bad at all. They look nice too.
Overall this is a great value. I can't think of any other IEM at this price point that would be as good. These are what I put in my bag to travel if I can't bring full size headphones. Perfect for the airplane.
