Building on Flagship Heritage
Building on the success of the flagship RS10, Softears reimagined key design concepts. While the RS10 remains a benchmark in-ear monitor, its complex crossover made it difficult to drive. The RSV (Reference Sound Five) was developed as an innovative BA IEM with a far easier-to-drive nature.
A Year and a Half of Research
After a year and a half of research, Softears presents the RSV, a 5-driver BA design that achieves reference-grade performance with outstanding efficiency. Its new driver configuration and crossover allow the RSV to deliver satisfying dynamics even from conventional mobile phones.

Handcrafted Satin Carbon & Gold Foil Design
Every faceplate is handcrafted using satin carbon fiber fragments and gold foil, blending cutting-edge material with antique elegance. This artisan process makes each RSV unique—an individual piece of craftsmanship rather than just an earphone.
Acoustic Engineering Excellence
RSV integrates advanced acoustical filters with a carefully designed crossover, enabling BA drivers to deliver extraordinary dynamics, near-perfect frequency response, and highly consistent phase. This efficient architecture transforms a simple 5-driver setup into a remarkably precise system.
Precision Crossover and Filters
The crossover employs a 3rd-order LRC filter for bass, an impedance plus low-pass system for mids, and a film capacitor for highs, totaling six components to properly divide the signal across five drivers. With precise 3D printing, Softears crafted acoustic filters accurate to 0.1 mm, fine-tuned with dampers for ideal sound.
Natural and Immersive Tuning
Tuned using HRTF measurements from high-end speakers and reverberation analysis, the RSV delivers textured bass, natural timbre, and an immersive, lively presentation.
Phase Consistency and Imaging
Unlike many multi-driver IEMs that suffer from phase inconsistency, the RSV maintains precise phase alignment across the spectrum. This ensures smooth driver transitions, accurate timbre, and a pinpoint soundstage.
Versatile Connectivity
Equipped with universal 0.78 mm 2-pin sockets, the RSV allows users to select their preferred cables or switch to Bluetooth options for versatile listening.
