This could've been a legendary set. But thanks to the tuning, it's safe to call it 'just above average'. It has much to do with the boosted tuning in the wrong places, namely the Upper Mids and Mid Treble areas.
These boosted areas ruined a promising set, IMO. It creates an unnecessarily intense experience during listening. It becomes so intense, that you find the need to turn the music down to prevent fatigue. I usually have a rule for IEMs and headphones, that when your Treble is higher than your Bass, go have your ears checked out, your hearing won't exist for much longer. With this set, that's definitely true...
The boosted Lower Mid Bass isn't so much as a problem, it simply leads to a warmer sound, some will hate it, others won't. For the music I listen to, it was acceptable, as it helped create some emphasis leading from the Sub-bass. With this said, it's not what a true Basshead would call a 'Basshead' set. It's more of a sound akin to a 'premium car stereo' that lingers at 28-34hz.
Again, this isn't bad, just not the most ideal tuning. Any music that promotes Sub-bass and mids should sound alright with this set...until you get to the upper rqnge for vocals and hi-hats. Volume discipline is encouraged.
Nice build and construction so far. I like the cord, but still wouldn't hesitate to upgrade it at some point. Wish it came with foam tips, but IYKYK.
