Eight Balanced Drivers Configuration
Moondrop has perfectly tuned and did a crossover of eight balanced armature drivers each side, which provide life-like sound quality with crisp details and quick sound response. They have chosen a two balanced armatures for the lower end offering quick and thumpy bass response, four balanced armatures for natural and lifelike mids rich with details and two balanced armatures for detailed treble response. They have selected sonion 37 series double bass driver for lower end and a knowles balanced armature driver unit for the treble part.

With the help of professional tuning and craftsmanship, the Moondrop S8 provides beautiful and lovely sound reproduction, whether you are a bass head or a neutral loving person, the Moondrop S8 offers great details and sound. Different Balanced armature units connected together to create brilliant rich details in your music with wide and detailed soundstage. The Moondrop S8 provides one with a brilliant sound signature with a smooth U shaped sound which is very rich in details. Usually Multi driver IEM's have an issue of phase inconsistency which results in narrower soundstage but, we at Moondrop have ensured that each and every set of S8 has zero phase inconsistency and provides you with wider soundstage full of details.

Though Moondrop is already very famous for their exquisite craftsmanship, they out did themselves here with the Moondrop S8. The Moondrop S8 is a completely handmade set of IEM, everything from housing, soldering PCB's, wirings, assembling, and more are done by trained craftsman's with utmost perfection and precision. Moondrop has ensured at every step that every set of Moondrop S8 is built with the best of the materials and perfection which is even reflected through the transparent shells. Every unit of Moondrop S8 has passed four acoustic sound tests to ensure sound consistency, which again reflects the brilliant craftsmanship of our staff.
High Quality OCC Cable
The exquisite craftsmanship of Moondrop is not only on the outer side, we have used original copper cable wires for internal wiring, which ensures there is no detail loss and sound is reproduced as it is recorded.

Besides looking absolutely stunning, these IEMs perform as you's expect from an A+ wanting to be a S-tier. I enjoy trying different IEMs, but when I feel like listening to / enjoying music, my Moondrop S8 comes out. The stock cable looks cheapish, but performs well. I upgraded to a $100 cable and this really lets the S8 perform - they certainly benefit from good ancillary equipment. The case is just the right size and also looks and feels fantastic.
