A Pure Analog Amp From a Digital Heavyweight

Since 2011, Singxer has operated as an ODM and OEM in the audio industry as well as developed their own DACs and digital interfaces. Best known for their work in digital audio, they’ve made technical achievements in clock systems, phase-locked loop technologies, and more. In a bit of a departure for a company that so heavily favors digital products, Singxer has now released the SA-1, a fully balanced pure analog class A amplifier.

Fully Independent Class A Analog Amplifier

Class "A" is a type of amplifier circuit that reproduces the whole signal wave resulting in a higher-fidelity output with no cross-over distortion. The Singxer SA-1 features a true four-way fully independent, fully discrete Class-A amplification circuit design. It is a pure analog circuit with pure analog control without any EMI(Electro-Magnetic Interference) caused by digital controls.

Super-Clean Signal Amplification

The Singxer SA-1 chipset features high-quality premium components that enable the device to provide a super-clean output with ultra-low harmonic distortion and noise ratings. The output has a THD+N rating of -120dB @ 1kHz A-weighted. The output has a super-low noise floor even with sensitive pairs of IEMs and Headphones there is no sign of distortion or noise. All you get is a pitch dark background where the minutest of musical details pop out making the output full of life.

Seven Inputs And Outputs

The Singxer SA-1 can be used as a headphone amplifier or preamplifier. As a headphone amplifier, it supports balanced XLR input, RCA input on the back panel, and three outputs on the front panel: 4-pin balanced XLR, balanced 4.4, and single-ended 6.35. As a preamplifier, it supports balanced XLR input, RCA input, and two outputs: balanced XLR and RCA.

Circuit Protection

Singxer has designed the internal audio circuitry of the SA-1 to provide protection against electrical issues like overcurrent, overload, overheating, short circuit, Start-up delay, and more. So users can enjoy their music without worrying about power causing any trouble to the device.

Great measurements that translate to IRL performance

Usually I do not like looking at measurements too much since there's a few ways to screw with them to make them look better or worse, in the case of the sa-1 it is currently one of the top measuring headphone amplifiers on the market which is very impressive by itself. Not only that, coming at this price point while being Class-A then switching to AB when the load gets heavier is pretty impressive. Overall, the amp sounds slightly warm but not overdoing it to the point where it wouldn't work with certain headphones, it is still very much natural/neutral sounding. I'd say it sounds less warm than the jot 2 while being more open and less compressed sounding, with lots of power which I never needed to use full power with any headphone, I've had it with the modius, and it worked very well, the zen dac sig which sounded even better, overall i think this is the best headphone amplifier at its price point.
