Gathering the momentum from the success of the Thieaudio Phantom planar magnetic headphones, and the Voyager and Legacy series In-Ear Monitors (IEM’s), the two new monitors utilize the latest driver technology from the Danish manufacturer, Sonion - the Electrostatic (EST) tweeter. The EST driver features an ultralight membrane in a small tweeter chamber that is powered by an independent transformer to extend the in-ear monitor’s treble range up to 80kHz
Monarch - King of the IEM’s
From the tuning to the technical capabilities, the Monarch was designed to bring out the best that In-Ear Monitors can offer. The sound signature had to be analytical to bring about precision and a reference-style tuning. This necessitated a linear midrange section which would place all instruments balanced with one another and provide an overall clean and lean sound The mid-treble transition peaks at the inner ear canal resonance point and is sustained through the entire upper frequency range to maximize detail retrieval and overtone presence. Yet, careful attention was placed in making the trebles smooth and void of sharp peaks or dips to eliminate any uncomfortable upper harmonic irregularities. We find the Monarch to be among the few IEM’s on the market to truly and cohesively integrate the balanced armature and EST drivers in a manner that shines forth the best of their potentials The Monarch stands as Thieaudio’s best display of technological and sonic innovation and is ready to redefine the musical standard for In-Ear Monitors. On the other end of the spectrum, a 10mm dynamic driver and multi-balanced armature woofers have been implemented to bring about a punchy subbass impact. In reality, the utilization of this driver configurations effectively enhances the extreme-treble response and thereby provides a protracted treble decay, a more airy atmosphere, and enhanced sound resolution. The correct implementation of EST drivers can make normal balanced armature driver earphones seem dull and lackluster in comparison. Pairing the EST driver with a newly developed biopolymer dynamic driver and traditional balanced armatures, we have styled two unique IEM’s. The Monarch focuses on a precise treble response with extreme detail retrieval and high level of clarity. They sound great!!! lots of details in treble and fast / textured bass. Mids are smooth. I changed the eartips for xelastec (more treble) or jvc spiral dots (more smooth mids), depending of the kind of sound i want. I also associated the Monarch with the Dunu blanche cable (300€).
Right away, this is the most detailed sound i ever heard in an IEM. It's truely impressive what the monarch can extract from your tracks. Highs are perfection, high mids and mids are very detailed again but i would say at the expense of some slight harshness around 5K (to me) but also depends of the pairing (output impedance, freq response, etc.. of your gear) and likely tips too.
My only grip with the Monarch is actually the low end, i don't care it's somewhat elevated, but i think it's too elevated in subbass and not as super tight as i would have liked, to make it perfect. It's still a very impressive set on most tracks but for that reason i only give it 4 stars.
Overall it's still probably one the best IEM you can get for the money and it's in my opinion unrivaled in details and clarity.
Monarch is one of the best iems money can buy. It is technically accomplished and very detailed while remaining musical.
Sub Bass on Monarch is unparalleled, it goes deep, rumbles and shines when it need to without bleeding in the mids. It's very artfully tuned.
Mids are clear and transparent. There is no extra added warmth or emphasis on lower mids. This makes for a very transparent and neutral signature in mids. Some people might find male vocals a bit thin, but this can be remedied with a warm source.
Treble on Monarch is the best I have heard in any iem. The EST drivers deliver a very detailed yet smooth upper range. You hear everything and it is wondeful. Resolution is a 10/10.
Monarch is a very technical iem with great separation, detail and layering.
The only improvement I can think of would be a bit more mid bass energy, to give more life to kick drums. This can be of course adjusted with some EQ.
Other than that, this king reigns supreme in iem land.
For the first time, an IEM met and exceeded my expectations and excitement . Came back from Djing in Club LIV (SouthBeach, Miami) over the long weekend and this was waiting to be opened. This IEM is just fantastic. Does everything well paired with the right DAP. Sony ZX507 is my daily driver and this is the perfect pairing vs my N3Pro and Sony A55. TOTL tuning for 1/6th of the price. Buy it asap.
The dynamic driver hits the bass better than BAs. I just does. I have Moondrop S8 and yeah all the sounds/music is "smoother" and easy to listen to to. I however have never had these IEMs sound harsh or make me want to take a break. They hit sharply where the S8s don't and it is pleasurable in that it doesn't hold back. The S8s have a place definitely but technically and transparency of these Monarch IEMs is the best I have heard and I appreciate them so much. They are TOTL for me, your milage may vary. S8s are definitely TOTL for some folks too - bass is too important to me for them to be that for me. I recommend the 100 ohm inline filter for these like crinacle recommends - it actually is audibly made a difference to me surprisingly.
The 2 pin issue - isn't new, other options are available and I am hopeful for the new solutions. I am content with the 2 pin thing slipping out. If that is my only issue, it is a non-issue. The other issue was kind of an issue which I am requesting it be fixed. The metal part where the ear tips and wax filters connect actually came off of one. The customer service has been great - just waiting to get these back repaired. Photo of issue attached just for reference.
Oddly enough while both these things seem like they are red flags - I 100% recommend these IEMs. That are like going from going from out of the box iems to blon 3s as far as a surprise factor. They are orders of magnitude beyond that - Amazing, just amazing. I am not even caffeinated this morning so this is pretty low key excitement about something I genuinely feel comfortable recommending to other folks.
The 100 Ohm resisters that were mentioned are worth it. If nothing else they immediately remove a noise floor from any amp - which in itself is significant. The bass boost was noticeable for me, but YMMV. I prefer balanced 2.5 mm, honestly you won't notice a difference in 3.5 aux resisters and are still worth it. The only place I found these sold in an professionally made sort of way is penon audio. I get no kick back for endorsing these - they are solid though. About 15-16 USD.
My Benchmade EDC pocketknife in the photo - can also recommend. I is 551-S30V Griptilian just as a reference.

Like other reviews says Monarch has excellent sound.
But Monarch has a big problem.
The durability of the 2pin connector is very weak and cracks occur.
If the cracks develop more and more, it can cause major problems with the unit.
This problem is a major flaw in the product, and I cannot recommend this product to anyone unless an improved version is officially released.

形容一下我现在的感受，就类似我高中用着几百块垃圾耳机的时候，第一次听森海hd800的感觉。头一次听到这么多强的塞子。好听程度甚至不输我的一些大耳。
声音特色就不多说了，crinacle的评测已经写的很到位了，就tm一个字，强。

Which countries do you ship to?
We are generally able to ship to most countries via Express Shipping, and many countries via Standard Shipping. You may clarify this with our team to check whether Standard Shipping is available to your country.
We cannot ship to addresses that are "PO boxes or APO/FPO".
*Note: Generally, we can only do Selected Shipping to India and Russia. We can only do Express Shipping to Africa, Argentina, Hawaii, Kuwait, Mauritius, Montenegro and Sri Lanka, to name a few.
This may be subjected to changes due to unpredictable issues such as Covid, war, and etc.
How much does shipping cost?
We have two shipping methods - Standard Shipping and Express Shipping.
Standard Shipping is free for most countries, while Express Shipping is 15-35USD depending on your country. If your order is over 270USD, Express Shipping is free*.
*This applies for most countries. However, large items such as headphones and desktop DAC/AMPs (e.g. HarmonicDyne G200, MUSICIAN MDP-2, and etc.) are excluded.
Shipping fees exclude import taxes or processing fees that may be applicable for your country. Linsoul is not responsible for such fees. Should you refuse to pay the tax/customs fees, shipping fees will still be deducted from the amount paid for the two-way freight charges. The cost of the freight charges may be more than the amount reflected on your order due to tax and other miscellaneous fees.
Some parcels claimed to be “returned to the seller” may be destroyed by the post office or customs officers when buyers refuse to accept their parcels or fail to pay for their taxes. No refund will be processed for such cases.
Standard Shipping via YunExpress is a tax-inclusive option for some countries. However, Linsoul will not be responsible for additional administrative or handling fees charged by your local courier company or customs. Please kindly check this with your local customs.
For certain remote areas, there may be additional charges via Express Shipping. We will contact you if there is a need to make additional payments.

How long does it take to receive the order after it is placed?
For in-stock products, your order will be shipped within 3 working days. You may check with our staff regarding the in-stock status of any products.
Customized items will take a longer time. Please contact our staff for more information.
On normal non-sale days, once your parcel has been shipped out:
- For Standard Shipping, it takes about 2-4 weeks for items to be delivered after shipping out. For some countries, it might take up to 2-3 months, depending on your country, its customs and other factors.* The duration for transit is something beyond our control. Linsoul will not be making refunds for such cases. Please consider an upgrade to Express Shipping or keep the waiting time in mind.
- For Express Shipping, it takes about 3-7 days for items to be delivered after shipping out.

What happens if the parcel has been shipped but not delivered?
- First, kindly contact your local courier using the local tracking number.
If your parcel were to be in transit for at least 3 months, it may have been lost in transit.
For orders below $50USD, you may either opt for a one-time reshipment of parcel OR a full refund of the amount paid in cash via PayPal/Credit/Debit card.
For orders above $50USD, we will only process a 50% refund of your order paid in cash via PayPal/Credit/Debit card. Should there be any concern about Standard Shipping, you are encouraged to opt for DHL Express Shipping instead. - Customers are to bear the consequences and fees incurred, if the parcel was undelivered due to any of the following situation:
- Wrong address or phone number provided by recipient
- Recipient was uncontactable when courier company contacted
- Refusal to sign for the package by recipient
- Lost or damaged parcel because recipient opted for “no-signature delivery”
- Refusal to pay for the local tax/processing fee by recipient
- Refusal to provide supporting documents for custom clearance by recipient
Who will pay for the import tax/custom fees
Customers have to bear any form of custom/import/processing fees that are applicable for your parcel.
Should you be unwilling to pay for the fees and reject the delivery of the parcel, you will still have to pay for the shipping cost. Linsoul will only refund the amount of your order after deducting the two-way shipping fees incurred.
How do I get help for my order?
Cancellation or/and modification of orders can only be done manually via our staff, provided that our Warehouse Team has not processed your order.
As our Support Team might not be available during non-working days and weekends, please place your order wisely.
Should you really need to cancel or/and modify your order after purchase, please contact us via our support email (Support@Linsoul.com) or website chat. We will help you with the changes if that could be done.
In general, upon receiving your parcel, please confirm the contents of the package and ensure that the package is in good condition before signing for it. All customers are strongly advised to take an unboxing video of their parcel and packaging when opening their parcels and products.
For faulty/missing items, please send an email to support@Linsoul.com for after-sale services. The following details are required.
1) Send an email to support@Linsoul.com with an appropriate Subject Title
2) Provide your order number and state the issue clearly
3) Attach photos and videos to show that your product is faulty/missing. Shipping details on the parcel packaging have to be clearly visible.
If the photos/videos provided are insufficient to prove the stated issue, we will enquire more. Once the issue has been confirmed, we will arrange for a replacement, partial refund or a full refund (where applicable). For incorrect products, Linsoul reserves all rights in deciding whether you need to return the incorrect item or not. Please kindly contact us via email first. Our team aims to review your email within 3 working days.

Do I get tracking details for my order?
After placing an order, you will receive the order confirmation email. After your order has been shipped out, you will also receive a tracking email. For more than 1 orders placed under the same account and shipping address, Linsoul will automatically combine the orders and ship them out via one tracking number.
