I just got the GL2000s from LINSOUL and these are my thoughts:
The acoustic instruments sound the way they should sound in reality, there are details in the music that I've never heard before, and the layering is fantastic. Violins are like violins, so are tambourines, I feel like a wooden flute must really sound. Just listen to these headphones to understand what I mean. The instruments are positioned there in a large space scene with a completely black background. The bass is firm, precise, without becoming artificial, and this still fits perfectly with my 5watt tube amp and there is still power available. The Ananda are a classy headphones, but difficult to drive, and they retain the taste of the manufacturer, his firm signature. This is the third Hifiman headset I buy and none of them have completely satisfied me. They are airy but less precise in reconstructing the scene, which for me is more vague. The Ananda have a flaw, in my opinion, they are shy, slow, and the medium-high too advanced, on the whole they are boring. It is more an interpretation than a perfect translation of the message. I was doubtful whether to buy the GL2000 as the GL600 had not received a very good review. But the GL2000s are worth a lot more than the money spent and their mid and high range are smooth and fluid, they just make me enjoy the music. I honestly don't understand why some reviewers have flunked these headphones. If someone asked me: would you still buy a Hifiman headphones? my answer would be: no !..
They sound fantastic and should be a reference for how they have been tuned. They are definitely a threat to the podium of hi-end headphones listening.
