Kinera Freya 2.0
Background
Freya, a prominent figure in Norse mythology, is associated with love, beauty, war, and gold. Born in the Vanir tribe, she possesses exceptional magical skills. Her parents are the god of plenty, Njord, and Nerthus, her twin sister. Freya is married to the wanderer Od, and her eternal search for him often brings tears of sorrow. The couple has two daughters, Hnoss and Gersemi.Following the alliance between the Vanir and Aesir tribes, conflicts with giants intensified. Odin, the chief god, dispatched Freya and the thunder god Thor to lead the Aesir army against the giants. The Aesir emerged victorious, and Freya's valor earned her the title of "Goddess of War." Odin rewarded her with a grand palace, dedicating half to fallen heroes in Valhalla and the other half for training warriors when needed.
Driver Configuration
Freya 2.0 boasts a hybrid quad-driver design, featuring a dynamic driver and three balanced armatures. The specialized 7mm dynamic driver from Kinera enriches the low-frequency range, providing an authentic and immersive audio experience. Knowles balanced armatures contribute to mid-frequency robustness, while a custom Kinera balanced armature ensures transparent, clear, and textured high frequencies. Shell Design
The casing of Freya 2.0 is meticulously crafted from transparent resin with a reverse coating, creating a mesmerizing blue gradient with intricate white textures. The multi-layered design evokes windswept landscapes and falling snow. Delicate specks of glitter, resembling the crystalline essence of a celestial maiden singing amid the snow, add to the overall aesthetic. The design captures the essence and allure of the earphone, akin to a melody carried by the wind and snow.
Tuning Concept
Freya 2.0 excels in bass response, exhibiting excellent extension. Mid and high frequencies showcase notable density and clarity, marked by linearity and effective penetration. The soundstage has a pleasing atmospheric quality, specifically tuned for pop and electronic music genres. The tuning upgrade prioritizes sound texture extraction, integrating Knowles's balanced armature technology to refine high frequencies. This subtle refinement enhances taste, achieving greater harmony and balance, marking a new level of audio quality beyond Freya 1.0's bold and powerful sound.
