Flagship DARWIN III R2R Architecture
The RS2 II inherits the DARWIN III architecture from HiBy's flagship RS8 II, further optimized around the RS2 II's DAC hardware. Featuring a precisely matched R2R resistor network, the architecture converts digital signals directly into analog voltage levels through high-speed electronic switching, preserving the natural character and musicality of R2R sound while achieving THD+N below 0.0008%.
FPGA Engine for Refined Digital Processing
At the heart of DARWIN III is a newly developed FPGA featuring over 35,000 logic units and 40 high-speed DSPs. This powerful processing engine enables high-tap FIR filtering, multiple AA filter options, and selectable effects such as harmonics generation and control, creating a highly flexible digital-to-analog processing pipeline.
Powerful Four-Way Amplification
The RS2 II combines a quad OPA1612 signal chain with four flagship-grade OPA1622 op-amps for independent current amplification across four channels. This fully balanced amplification architecture provides strong current delivery and transient response, delivering up to 630mW through the 4.4mm balanced output for demanding headphones and multi-driver IEMs.
Femtosecond-Grade Clock Precision
Dedicated 45.158MHz and 49.152MHz crystal oscillators are used to precisely clock 44.1kHz and 48kHz audio families. With phase noise below -140dBc/Hz at 1kHz offset, the dedicated audio clocks help maintain accurate timing and preserve micro-details and instrument separation throughout playback.
Compact Flagship for High-Resolution Listening
Designed as a compact flagship, the RS2 II features a 3.55-inch 480×800 touchscreen and an upgraded X1600E dual-core SoC for smoother system operation. The aluminum version weighs just 156g, while dual microSD slots support up to 2TB each, providing up to 4TB of total storage for an extensive high-resolution music library.
