Kiwi Ears x B_Media Terras is made for listeners who keep a compatible pair of wired over-ear headphones at the center of more than one audio setup. Its detachable source-side system lets one familiar cable move between portable devices, everyday computers, and a fixed desktop audio system instead of assigning a separate cable to every source. The collaboration focuses on practical connection choices, verified cable construction, and clear length options for everyday listening.
One Cable, Three Source Connections
Keep one familiar cable as your listening routine moves from a phone or DAP at hand to a laptop, desktop DAC, or headphone amplifier. Pull off the sourceside module and swap in the included 3.5mm, 4.4mm or USB Type-C module instead of replacing the full cable for every source. Use 3.5mm for a familiar headphone output, 4.4mm with a compatible balanced DAP, DAC, or amplifier, or the USB Type-C plug with compatible phones, tablets and computers that support USB Audio.
4N Copper in a Defined 4-Core Build
Terras uses four 32AWG cores of 4N single-crystal copper in a carefully assembled cable structure. The specified conductor and gauge support reliable conductivity across portable and desktop systems while keeping the focus on a stable, consistent connection. The 1.25m and 2m options differ only in reach — both use the same 4N singlecrystal copper, 4core 32AWG construction and include the same three source modules. Changing connections requires removing the installed module and attaching the one needed next.
From Relaxed Listening to Desktop Audio
Choose 1.25m when a DAP, phone, tablet, or laptop stays close at hand, and you want less excess cable across your lap or workspace. Use the 3.5mm module with a familiar headphone output, switch to 4.4mm for a compatible balanced DAP, or attach the USB Type-C module with its built-in DAC to compatible devices. Choose 2m when your headphones connect to an audio interface, desktop DAC, or amplifier placed farther away, giving you more room to lean back from a workstation or settle into a listening chair.
Match the Headphone-Side Layout
Select Dual 3.5mm for Kiwi Ears Ellipse and Altruva, FT1, JT1, FT3, FT5 and SUNDARA ClosedBack. Select Single 3.5mm for Kiwi Ears Division, SHP9500, SHP9600, and Fidelio X2HR. The two options serve different headphone connection layouts and are not interchangeable. Choose the version that matches the number and placement of the cable sockets on your headphones, ensuring a secure and proper fit for your specific model.
