DMT 5 Coaxial Hybrid Architecture
OLA II features a 10mm DMT 5 dynamic driver paired with a dedicated PURE Hi ultra-high-frequency balanced armature in a coaxial acoustic structure. The dual drivers work along a closely aligned acoustic axis, helping reduce imaging shifts between frequency ranges and creating a more coherent transition between bass, mids, and treble. The result is focused imaging, precise treble, and naturally connected vocals and instruments.
Dual-Magnetic-Circuit & Dual-Chamber Dynamic Driver
The DMT 5 dynamic driver uses a dual-magnetic-circuit structure to improve magnetic flux density and diaphragm control, while the dual-chamber architecture helps manage the air load on both sides of the diaphragm. Together with an optimized diaphragm system, this design provides stronger low-frequency dynamics, improved transient response, and more stable performance across large signal levels.
PURE Hi Ultra-High-Frequency BA Driver
The dedicated PURE Hi balanced armature driver extends the ultra-high-frequency range while enhancing overtones, airiness, and fine detail. By reducing the treble workload of the dynamic driver, it allows the DMT 5 to focus more effectively on bass, mids, and core treble frequencies, creating a more complete and balanced full-range presentation.
Ultra-Low Distortion for Cleaner Sound
Through its redesigned driver system and acoustic structure, OLA II achieves a total harmonic distortion of just 0.03% at 1kHz and 94dB, approximately one-tenth that of the original OLA. This significantly cleaner performance helps preserve subtle details, sharper transients, and more accurate sonic contours.
Optimized Acoustic Chamber for Enhanced Detail
The internal acoustic chamber has been refined through acoustic simulation to guide sound energy more efficiently toward the ear canal. The smoother internal geometry reduces unnecessary acoustic loss and improves the clarity of transients, ambience, and fine musical details for a cleaner and more precise listening experience.
Ergonomic Design for Long Listening
OLA II has been refined using artificial ear data and more than 3,000 real ear-shape samples. The nozzle angle, shell curvature, support points, and weight distribution have been carefully optimized for a secure and comfortable fit. An external vent structure also helps reduce pressure buildup, improving long-term comfort while allowing the bass response to remain open and balanced.
Silver-Plated Copper Litz Cable
The included cable uses silver-plated copper Litz wire in a twisted structure to reduce conductor interference and high-frequency signal loss. The combination provides stable signal transmission, strong conductivity, and improved resistance to interference while maintaining a flexible and practical design.
Three Connection Options
OLA II is available in 3.5mm single-ended, 4.4mm balanced, and DSP Type-C versions, allowing users to choose the connection that best matches their devices and listening preferences. The 3.5mm and DSP Type-C versions include a microphone for calls, gaming, meetings, and voice communication.
DSP Type-C with 8-Band PEQ
The DSP Type-C version supports DSP-Master sound processing through the TANCHJIM App. Its 8-band parametric equalizer allows precise adjustment of center frequency, gain, and Q value, giving users greater control over their preferred sound. Official presets and a sound preset sharing community provide additional ways to customize the listening experience.
High-Performance MEMS Microphone
The DSP Type-C and 3.5mm microphone versions feature a high-performance Goertek MEMS microphone designed for clearer voice pickup. Whether for calls, online meetings, gaming, or voice chat, it helps keep speech clear and present with reduced background interference.
Precision Acoustic Verification
OLA II is measured in the TANCHJIM LAB free-field anechoic chamber using professional equipment including the B&K 5128 Head and Torso Simulator and APx555 audio analyzer. Key parameters such as frequency response, multi-tone performance, and distortion are carefully evaluated to ensure reliable acoustic performance.
