Introducing the latest model from Yanyin Technology, the "Carmen." Equipped with a 10-BA (balanced armature) four-way configuration, "Carmen" is our newest flagship in pure BA driver monitoring, developed through extensive research and building on the success of our Moonlight series tuning.

Ten BA Drivers

The "Carmen" model is equipped with ten balanced armature drivers. For the low frequencies, it uses four Sonion drivers, which overcome the typical limitations of balanced armature bass response. This configuration offers the energy and impact of dynamic drivers, paired with the excellent transient response and texture characteristic of balanced armatures.
In the midrange, two Sonion drivers deliver a rich and smooth tonal quality, maintaining a consistently impressive sound. The high frequencies are handled by two full-size Sonion drivers, ensuring high-quality reproduction with a pleasant smoothness. Additionally, a custom dual driver is dedicated to the ultra-high frequencies, enhancing extension, resolution, overall sound layering, and soundstage.
Overall, the combination of these Sonion drivers across the frequency spectrum creates a highly refined audio experience, with a seamless blend of powerful bass, lush mids, and detailed highs.

About "Carmen's" Next-Generation BA Drivers

"Carmen" features phase synchronization compensation technology, a rare and challenging feat in multi-BA setups. Our extensive research experience allowed us to achieve exceptionally low distortion and balanced frequency response, ensuring clear separation and seamless integration across the frequency spectrum. This results in highly accurate sound reproduction. The design also integrates purple and starry elements, offering a strong visual impact and a mysterious, romantic ambiance, reminiscent of the passionate Spanish flair of the opera "Carmen."

Handcrafted Medical-Grade Resin Construction

The handcrafted design uses medical-grade resin, combining purple hues with a starry theme to create a striking and charming aesthetic, embodying the exotic allure of the music piece "Carmen."

New HFI Upgraded Cable

Standard with 0.78mm 2-pin CIEM connectors, the upgraded cable features new hardware plugs and a splitter. Available in 3.5mm (with optional 2.5mm & 4.4mm) configurations, the high-quality single crystal copper cable consists of four strands, single crystal copper, 22AWG, and 140 cores.

Yanyin Carmen - Audiophile's Love... And 20 Next-Generation Drivers!

Headphones create a unique atmosphere!
This is the case when you listen to music holding your breath.
It feels like everything that happens on stage is happening around you, as if you are standing in the conductor's place.
A huge amount of acoustic mass, the WHOLE stage is filled with details, there are a huge number of details.
Before, I did not perceive the song Adele - Skyfall at all, I did not associate it with scale and scope, there was no atmosphere of grandeur and greatness.
Yes, Adele's beautiful vocals, but nothing more, I did not feel emotions from the musical accompaniment, the orchestra just sounded in the background.
But in these headphones I experienced its magnificence, I was finally able to appreciate the colossal work of musicians and sound engineers.
The stage is filled with a large number of musical instruments, and they all sound separately and together at the same time.
The sound surrounds you, you seem to be standing in front of the orchestra and it seems that this entire imaginary stage is breathing, as if everything is happening in reality.
Yes, it’s a pity that this scene is just a figment of the imagination, but the headphones are able to present the material in such a way that the brain easily completes the picture.

Vocals in these headphones reach an amazing level of realism.
For example, in Helavisa - Dorogi - overtone techniques in the song are clearly distinguishable.
I have not encountered such a natural and lively transmission of vocals even in my favorite near-monitor headphones, which are approximately equal in price to this model.
To date, this is definitely the best IEM I have come across.
The sound resolution in Yanyin Carmen does not exceed reasonable limits, it is exactly as much as is necessary for the sound to be perceived as natural and natural.
That is, there is no unnatural burning brightness and artificial super-clarity, which have nothing to do with truthful and realistic sound.
Also, there is no blurriness or veil that is present with low sound resolution.
Yanyin Carmen are ideally balanced in terms of resolution.
Audiophiles who prefer a realistic presentation will appreciate this setting.
The headphones have some unreal level of immersion in the material.
The effect of presence does not take long to come, it is felt from the first notes.

When the volume is increased even to a very high level, the headphones do not become screaming, they scale the stage and sound more and more grandiose!
The lower threshold of 20 Hz is taken without problems, the upper threshold of 20 kHz is also voiced by the headphones without any difficulties.
The headphones convey the attack well - the drums sound elastic, there is a body, tactility is felt.
The acoustic guitar is timbre-rich, the sound is full-fledged, for example - Chris Jones - Long After You Are Gone.
The piano also has a body, seems large, the headphones do not shrink at all, they demonstrate large images.
When listening, you get the impression that you are on stage in front of the musicians, or listening from the front rows.
The stage feels semicircular, moderately wide.
The depth of the stage is impressive, as already mentioned above, the acoustic mass and stage loading are beyond praise - Two Steps from Hell - Heart of Courage is well suited for testing.

Low frequencies dig deep, and as expected, have a relief and texture component.
The mid-bass is correct, does not interrupt the sub-bass, and does not climb into the middle.
The mid frequencies are richly represented from the middle of their range, but in the lower middle they are slightly lowered and fans of Louis Armstrong, in the baritone, may want a little more velvety.
The instruments sound overtonally rich, with a slight shade of warmth and extremely melodic.
Fans of a sharp saxophone will love its other hypostasis in the form of a more neutral and softened, but equally beautiful sound.
The upper middle is simply gorgeous, the female vocals are a delight for the ears.
The upper frequencies are, as always, magnificent, because the headphones are assembled on Sonion drivers, which means that everything is in order with duration, separation and balance.
An example of beautiful highs - Toni Braxton - Un-break my heart - crumbly cymbals of the drum kit and bells with additional metallic high-frequency overtones, harmoniously fit into the work.

The genre New Age and other enigmatics are fascinating, the headphones add atmosphere and therefore the works of past years are listened to in a new way, more complemented, or something.
Blues, jazz, soul, folk rock, vocal performances - go down a treat.
Orchestral, large-scale, epic narratives are also played out by headphones without any difficulties.
Metal is played massively, meaty, very densely and tightly, filling the entire space, and in this case, you listen not holding your breath, but actively stamping your feet and shaking your head))
